Dr. Paul B. Beeson, expert in infectious diseases, recently passed away in Exeter, New Hampshire, at the age of 97. Dr. Beeson is best known for his research into the mechanisms by which infections cause fever. He received his medical degree from McGill University in Montreal in 1933 and joined the faculty of Emory University in 1942, where he served as chairman of the Department of Medicine from 1946 to 1952.
