Lois Margaret Nora, MD, JD, MBA, has been appointed president and dean of the Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine, effective October 15, 2002. Dr. Nora is currently associate dean for academic affairs and administration at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, where she also is a professor of neurology and law.

Dr. Nora completed her undergraduate education at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and earned her medical degree from Rush Medical College in 1979. She completed her internship and neurology residency at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center, where she also completed a fellowship in electromyography and neuromuscular disease.
